English Language Acquisition District-wide Advisory Committee (ELA DAC) Meeting

The English Language Acquisition District-wide Advisory Committee (ELA DAC) is a monthly meeting to inform ELA parents about topics that concern them and improve dialog with DPS. The ELA DAC promotes academic partnerships and leadership through interactive sessions that bring together families from across the district to enhance their advocacy skills at home, school, and district level.

The Office of Family and Community Engagement in collaboration with the ELA Department is excited to invite you to the English Language Acquisition District Advisory Committee (ELA DAC). The topic will be School Governance: The Why and How.  The meeting will take place on Thursday, November 8th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Manual High School, 1700 E 28th Ave., Denver, CO 80205.

Food, Childcare, and Interpretation will be provided.

NOTE: All schools in DPS must have certain governance structures to ensure that families and communities have a voice in their schools. We will discuss the requirements and the elements of a healthy school governance structure (ELA PACs, ELA DACs, and CSCs) and why and how parents can get involved.
