Any developer submitting an application to the City and County of Denver Development Services Department to construct a new development within the City and County of Denver shall consider the impact of new developments on schools.
Denver Public Schools (“DPS”) partners with the City and County of Denver Development Services Department to review all concept applications and to work directly with the developer of any project that is projected to impact student enrollment.
If applicable, land dedication or cash in lieu of fee requests are made based on the estimated student impact from a development and the proposed fair market value of the land.
A development applicant must contact the DPS Planning, Analysis and Office of Enrollment Services Department upon submitting a concept application in order to proceed with plan approval and permitting.
