Alerts (Thrillshare)
DPS has transitioned to a new platform to send alerts to parents. This service will also be used in transportation to report service related issues. DPS Transportation Services uses Alerts to provide families real-time information and updates when buses are having issues. Family members are notified when buses are running more than 10 minutes late due to an emergency, mechanical or weather delay by text message and/or phone calls.
Family members of transportation-eligible students are automatically enrolled to receive both calls, email and text notifications from Alerts, based upon the phone number and email address provided when the student was registered for school.
