Family and Community Engagement
Denver Schools Thrive Initiative
Addressing Declining Enrollment with Equity and Empathy
Executive Limitation 18 (EL 18) provides guardrails on how the Superintendent approaches the process to address declining enrollment.
Due to limited resources at schools impacted by low enrollment, not every student has access to the same opportunities. Addressing this challenge ensures that every student thrives, every teacher and leader is supported and our resources are used to create better opportunities for all of Denver’s students.

Family Constituency Services
Family Constituency Services provides high quality services using culturally competent practices. We provide services to families, schools, and community members who need assistance accessing school and district resources, addressing concerns, and building skills to be strong partners in their students’ education. We have Spanish-speaking staff and have access to multilingual interpretation services.
Family Connect Team
The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Family Connect Program operates from a multi-generation theoretical framework which focuses on addressing the needs of both the child and the adults in their lives together by making connections between home, school and community. The access point to this program is by referral only from your students schools. The services are intended to educate and support families to make connections with resources that restore family stability in order to improve educational outcomes for their children. Through our collaboration with School Social Workers and School Psychologists, the FACE Family Connect program provides direct caregiver support by visiting with families in the home/community and building a support plan that addresses the needs identified by the family.
Empowerment and Engagement Team
We are dedicated to partnering with parents and staff who are the academic champions in student success. The Empowerment and Engagement team provides professional development to school-based staff, parent leadership trainings, volunteer opportunities, district-wide engagement opportunities, and more!
