Family Advocacy Program

Family Advocacy Program

School Year 2024-2025

What is happening at the school level?

Participating schools survey families to reflect on the quality of engagement practices at their school site. We review the data with families from participating schools to identify a root issue, educate them on advocacy strategies to address this issue, and develop a plan of action - BY parents, FOR parents- and propose this plan to school leadership.

This year, the program will be launched regionally to ensure equity in access. If you would like to bring this program to your school sooner, contact us!

Parent Village Members - Cohort 1

What is happening at the Family/Community Level?

We are building a DPS Parent Village!

Our program is built on the Parent Village model.

Additional features: Family engagement surveying, data analysis, City of Denver Advocacy training, and regionally-targeted community partnership support.

Across three weeks, Families dive deep into advocacy work to learn that their voices have power, and learn strategies to elevate their voices in the community.

You can follow their journey by signing up for our newsletter below!
